Planning some extra days on the island?

We LOVE Mykonos. We’ve lived there. We go back every year. We love it. If you’re planning some extra days at the beginning or the end of your trip, we recommend staying in Chora (the Old Town), getting lost in the streets and checking out some local restaurants. Here are some of our favourites:

Rochari

Check out this beautiful little Mykonian hotel situated at the top of the Old Town. The rooms are gorgeous and you could lose a whole day by the pool. Perfect for an extra couple of days in the busy old town centre.

180Β° Sunset-bar

180Β° Sunset-bar boasts one of the best viewpoints on the island at sunset. They’re located 5 minutes away from Old Town and are the perfect place to stop by for a cocktail to start the evening. You will need to pay an entry fee on arrival which can be used toward your first drink order.

Kiki’s Taverna

It could be argued that Kiki’s is THE best taverna to dine al fresco on the entire island. It’s basically a fact. It’s hidden under the trees, without a sign to announce it. You can’t book it, you can only show up, walk along the beach path and take a number and enjoy some complimentary rose in the sun. When they’re ready for you, they’ll call you and you will not regret it - the food is amazing, the servings massive.

BOWL

Looking for some healthy alternatives? Australian inspired restaurant serves amazing, tasty bowls and vegan options. It’s also one of the best places on the island to get a flat white coffee πŸ˜‰

Scorpios

On a sun-drenched southern tip of Mykonos, Scorpios encompasses a beautiful private beach, a whitewashed stone house, custom-built stages for daily sunset rituals, and ample open-air terraces spilling onto the Cycladic coastline. Scorpios is a must-do fo those looking for an exclusive boutique experience.
